The power of disconnecting

Between my podcast sabbatical and an unplugged trip to Bermuda last week (phone was shut off), I already feel lighter and my creative juices are starting to flow again.

I’m curious…

When was the last time you completely unplugged or gave yourself a break from a long-standing commitment?

It’s amazing how much your perspective can shift and your mind will settle if you give it some space.

Anne Lamott famously said, “Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.”

You should give it a try…

As I continue to unplug from the podcast this month, I have two more bonus episodes for you to enjoy:

  • Kara Loewentheil, Unf*ck Your Brain podcast, “Flow – Bonus Interview with Heather Hubbard” (released today)
  • Nicole Abboud, The Gen Y Lawyer podcast, “What is Your Vision and Will You Chase it Down? with Heather Hubbard” (to be released on May 21)

I’ll then be back with brand new content on June 4!

Speaking of new content, I’m super excited to share that we’re rolling out two new business development Masterminds this summer.

There’s a 1-day in-person option as well as an 8-week online option – both designed to help you get clear on the best business development strategies for your practice and personality.

If you’re interested in learning more, be sure to fill out an interest form at

We’re closing enrollment on May 31 so be sure to submit your form now if you want to get the details (no application or interview required).
