Top picks for summer reading
For many people, Memorial Day is the official kick-off to summer.
So I’m keeping it light and fun by sharing some summer reading you might want to consider adding to your library.
I love a good, long book for the beach or lazy summer afternoons, but it’s good to have a few short pick-me-ups handy as well. That’s what I’m sharing with you today.
The first is Pete the Cat’s Groovy Guide to Life: Tips from a Cool Cat for Living an Awesome Life by Kimberly & James Dean.
When my beloved Petie passed away last month, a friend gave me this book. It has a special place in my heart but I think you’ll love it too.
It’s an easy read and sure to make you feel good. If you’re feeling down or just want to start your day off on the right foot, this book is perfect!
The second is Crazy Sexy Love Notes by Kris Carr and artwork by Lori Portka.
It’s not a book, but rather 52 cards filled with beautiful illustrations on the front and positive messages on the back to keep your spirits bright.
I’m a huge fan of Kris. She’s lived with cancer for almost a decade and her message is one of inspiration and love.
After my morning meditation, I like to pull a card for the day. It always makes me smile and reminds me to stay positive.
Enjoy your summer!
XO,
Heather
I just might have to check these babies out! Thanks, Heather!
