Practicing Gratitude

Some days I just feel down. Nothing seems to go my way and the world seems to be conspiring against me.

When I get in one of those moods, it’s easy to start seeing the bad in everything.

The quickest way to shift out of that mindset is to practice gratitude.

I’m not talking about focusing on why you should feel grateful. That doesn’t really help you shift your attitude. It just makes you feel guilty for being in a bad mood.

The type of gratitude I’m referring to is the kind which is heart-felt and genuine. Sometimes you have to dig deep to get connected with the beauty all around you, but when you do, your perspective immediately shifts.

In this week’s video, I share my top 3 tips for practicing gratitude.

Not only do these exercises work when you’re in a funk, but they can help you begin to change your overall outlook if you practice them regularly. So even if things are going great for you, try them out and see if they don’t make you feel even better!

Pick one exercise and do it every day for one week. Leave a comment below and let me know if it helps you shift to a happier perspective. If you have other tips for practicing gratitude, please share those as well!

With love,

Heather
