I have a confession to make

I’m a little embarrassed to even tell you this but I need to get it off my chest.

Back in the day when I was practicing in BigLawI used to get this Selena Meyer eye twitch

There were always obvious warning signs that I was working too much but I was too busy to notice.

It wasn’t until the rest of the world could see my eye twitch that I would recognize my exhaustion, stress, and anxiety setting in.

Luckily, I haven’t experienced the ugly eye twitch in years.

Until last week.

The girl who is supposed to be all zen and in the flow missed all the warning signs.

How could I have allowed this to happen with all my training and teaching?!?!

I break it all down and explain what’s really going on in this week’s Hustle & Flow podcast episode Confessions of a Workaholic.

You can listen to the episode HERE.

Regardless of how I got to this point, I’m calling myself out and recommitting to my daily meditation practice.

Tomorrow will be Day 1 of 30 for me

To stay accountable, I’m going to document my progress on Facebook and Instagram. I can’t promise it will be pretty, but it will be real.

If you’ve ever considered starting a meditation practice, I welcome you to join me.

You can follow along and we can hold each other accountable.

If you’re not quite ready for meditation, but you want to pick up a new habit (or drop an old one), feel free to use my 30-day commitment as a way for you to stay accountable.

I don’t know about you, but I find that it’s much easier to make changes when I’m not going it alone.

I’d love to have your support and be able to support you as well!

Head on over to FB or Instagram (whichever you prefer) and let me know if you’re in.

P.S. The deeply discounted Miraval room block for the Life & Law in Balance Fall Partner Retreat ends on July 24. It was recently approved for up to 12 hours of CLE (including ethics). And the first workshop just so happens to be about mindfulness and meditation! Sign up soon if you want to attend. Learn more and register HERE.
