Meet “the” Girl Attorney

Did you know there are secret Facebook groups in almost every state for “girl attorneys”?

When the group made its way to Tennessee, I was pumped to join the club.

A FB group filled with female attorneys looking to collaborate, support and empower one another?

Heck yeah! I was all in.

I quickly contacted the owner, Susan Carnes Curtiss, a litigator in Oklahoma to introduce myself and ask if I could sponsor and support her amazing work with the group (which she does on the side!).

I’ve truly enjoyed getting to know her over the past year so I was thrilled when she agreed to be this month’s guest on the Hustle & Flow podcast.

In today’s interview, we talk about how Susan juggles it all, our shared experience of being the only “girl attorney” at our first firms, going beyond traditional organizations to create and cultivate true communities, and the magic of grassroots movements.

You can listen to our conversation HERE.

For the women lawyers out there, we also share how you can join Girl Attorney for free. I’m in the Tennessee, Texas, and National FB groups – come hang out with me!
