Yep, it’s the first day of the New Year!
The day when anything feels possible and nothing seems out of reach.
But before you go lacing up your tennis shoes, cutting out carbs, or tackling any other resolution or goal, make sure you don’t make this big mistake.
Here’s the cold hard truth.
Research shows that 25% people give up after just one week.
Another 25% never make it through the first quarter.
You don’t even want to know how many actually stick with their resolutions by year end!
So even though anything seems possible, the truth is you only have a 50/50 chance of making a new change stick… through March.
Because most resolutions and New Year goals relate to habits.
So, while we tell ourselves it’s just a matter of having more discipline and willpower, it’s far more complicated than that.
If changing habits were that easy, you’d have achieved your desired results years (if not decades) ago.
In reality, changing your habits requires rewiring the most primitive part of your brain.
