Hi, my name is Heather, and I’m a control freak.
Yep, I said it.
I struggle with letting go and allowing others to support me. I hand things off, but not completely.
Here are some of my go-to excuses:
- No one does it as well as me
- I’m the only one who pays attention to details
- I have to review everything to make sure it’s right
And, although I don’t struggle with this particular excuse, here’s another common one I hear from clients…
“It’s quicker and easier to do it myself than to train someone else.”
So, let me ask you, do you struggle with some of these excuses as well?
If you’re a high-achieving professional, my guess is you have very high standards.
And, if you have high standards, my guess is you’re also a control freak who struggles with delegating and growing a team that can fully support you.
If not, bless you.
If so, thank you for making me feel less alone. 😊
In today’s Hustle & Flow podcast episode, I’m sharing all the lessons I’ve learned this year in growing my team, especially as it relates to delegation.
I know I still have a long way to go, but I’m SO committed to my long-term vision that I’m getting outside my comfort zone and facing my fears head-on.
If you’re ready to do the same, listen to the episode HERE.
We can do it.
WE. FIGURE. THIS. OUT!
