#100: Word of the Year (and other New Year rituals)

For this very special 100th episode of the podcast, I have some tips to help you solidify your goals if you really want to be intentional this year. Today I am going to share with you my rituals, and how I plan my year around a single word.

To celebrate 100 episodes of this podcast, I want to ask for your help. I’d like you to go to https://www.heatherjoyhubbard.com/record, where I’ve set up a recorder for you to tell me a bit about yourself and the episode that you’ve enjoyed the most so far. Share what it is about that episode that has impacted your life or legal career, and your story could be featured on a future episode of the podcast!

Things you will learn in this episode:

  • How choosing a word for the year can act as a filter in making decisions and staying focused on your priorities
  • Why using the right side of your brain is far more important than your left when it comes to goal setting activities such as choosing a word for the year
  • How to figure out whether you have the right word
  • My quirky New Year rituals (as well as my word for 2019) and why you should consider coming up with some of your own to help you be more intentional
